This course is for Linux and/or UNIX systems administrators who want to build their skills at configuring common network services and security administration using Red Hat Enterprise Linux.

Upon Successful Completion
The delegate will be a system administrator who can set up a Red Hat Enterprise Linux sever and configure common network services and security at a basic level.

4. Organising Networked Systems
DNS service with BIND & DHCP service management

5. File Sharing Services
Network File System (NFS), Samba & FTP services management

6. HTTP Services
Apache http service management

7. E-mail Services
Sendmail, Postfix, Procmail services, mail lists & webmail applications

8. Authentication Services
User authentication methods & NIS service management

9. Firewall Services
Iptables service management & writing firewall rules

10. Directory Services
LDAP service management
